Here are the sales results for Scottsdale AZ homes for May of 2010. May was another strong month for Scottsdale home sales. This is the third month in a row where we have seen good sales numbers as well as high pending sales figures. Additionally, inventory continues to decrease.
May 2010 Highlights for Scottsdale AZ Homes for Sale:
- Active Scottsdale Homes for Sale: At the end of the month, there were 2,653 homes on the market. This was down 5% from April’s active homes for sale in Scottsdale. This number has been decreasing since January of 2010 and is well below the 12 month average of 2,837 homes for sale.
- Pending Scottsdale Home Sales: There were 623 pending sales in Scottsdale at the end of the month. This is down slightly from April’s 661, but it is still a strong showing. The 12 month average for this figure is 541.
- Scottsdale Homes Sold: 437 homes sold in the month of May. This is the second highest we have seen this figure over the last year, and it is just behind March’s 442 home sales. The 12 month average for monthly home sales is 369.
Overall, May turned in a good performance for Scottsdale AZ real estate. Inventory continued to decrease, sales were strong and pending sales were still in the 600’s. Based on pending activity, June should continue the trend and be another good month.
