– Scottsdale Homes for Sale and Home Sales in September 2014 –
The pace of home sales slowed again in September, as the the low season continued. However, sales and pending sales were not off by much from the previous month. In a change of direction, inventory started to increase again.

SEPTEMBER 2014 RESULTS
- Active Scottsdale Homes for Sale: After about five months of declining inventory, the number of homes for sale increased 10.3% over the previous month to 1,900. This is about where inventory was the same time last year.
- Pending Homes Sales in Scottsdale: Pending sales were off 7% compared to August. This figure has been decreasing since March of this year.
- September Home Sales in Scottsdale: There were 354 homes sales in September. This is only off slightly from August’s 360.
The next set of data covers two more things we track.
The first part examines the rate of change of home sales activity as compared to the prior month. For instance, sales in September compared to August were down 1.7%.
Below that, you will find data related to the difference between actual sales price and the list price of the homes. In September, buyers, on average, saw a 5.1% discount off of asking prices.
As was expected, September was a quieter month for home sales activity in Scottsdale. Pending sales and sales were off just slightly from August. Inventory began to increase again, perhaps due to sellers hoping to get their homes onto the market in advance of the upcoming high season.
