– North Scottsdale Restaurants: Rhythm & Wine –
Several years ago, I wrote about a local gem of a restaurant in North Scottsdale called Rhythm & Wine. Fast forward to 2014 and it is still delivering great food and service.
Rhythm & Wine is located in a small shopping area on the southeast corner of Pinnacle Peak and Miller. The restaurant is nicely decorated with table seating, bar seating and a wonderful patio for al fresco dining. There is a tasteful, but playful, musical theme that you will see reflected in the decor, menu items and drink names.
On our last visit, the restaurant was busy, but service was prompt and friendly. The first thing we had was the Signature Hard Rockin’ Spicy Shrimp. The shrimp was peel-and-eat in a beer broth. It came with bread that quickly disappeared as we dunked up the buttery, spicy sauce that the shrimp came in. The special September menu focused on shrimp and so we also ordered a Shrimp Alfredo pasta that was excellent. The final thing we had on this visit was the “Dixie Chicks” Chicken Marsala that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It too was tasty.
Some other dishes we have had on previous visits that are worth a try are the French Onion “Dumplings”, the Artisanal Cheese Platter, the “Super Tuscan” Bruschetta and the Courtney “Loves” This Chicken Pasta, which is made with an incredibly good stock.
In additional to starters and entrees, Rhythm & Wine also has a selection of salads, burgers and made-to-order pizzas.
Rhythm & Wine has a fun happy hour that is quite popular. It runs daily from 3PM-6PM and includes food and drink specials. On Sundays, dog owners can bring their pups to celebrate Bow Wow Happy Hour on the patio.
