– Scottsdale Casual Dining – Wildflower Bread Company –
The Wildflower Bread Company is small chain of restaurants with locations all over Arizona that serves up delicious food and a large variety fresh-baked goods and bread.
Wildflower serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and it is one of my favorite places to lunch when I want something healthy but do not have a lot of time.
For breakfast, they have a large number of items ranging from cook-to-order egg dishes, to pancakes and french toast, to breakfast sandwiches, to yogurt parfaits and fresh bagels and more. Breakfast is served until 10:30AM on weekdays and until 2PM on weekends.
Lunch is my personal favorite as they serve one of my favorite salads to eat, the Chopped Salad. Designed in rows like a Cobb salad, it comes with arugula, salmon, dried corn, sunflower seeds, couscous, dried cranberries and red peppers. Although the combination sounds a little different than what you might typically see, it is excellent. And, it comes with two pieces of fresh baked bread.
Another lunch favorite is the turkey and brie sandwich on herb bread. It comes with red peppers, mustard plus lettuce and tomato and is another great choice. There are also plenty of other cold and hot sandwich options and soups served. Lunch items are served all day.
After 3PM, they start serving the items from their pasta menu. Options include penne, linguine, ravioli and more.
They do serve kids meals at lunch and dinner that come with a drink and chocolate chip cookie, And on Wednesdays from 3:30-4PM, kids will get to participate in a fun activity as well as enjoy a free cookie and milk.
Last but not least, Wildflower has a huge selection of incredibly tasty and freshly baked goods and breads. Choose from cookies, muffins, cakes, dinner rolls, baguettes and much more.
