Just north and west of Scottsdale is a charming town called Cave Creek. The “main drag” in the town of Cave Creek is dotted with an eclectic mix of western, elegant, kitschy and sometimes humorously named stores and restaurants. (The Horny Toad? And the now defunct Satisfied Frog?)
A relatively recent addition to the area is the Firecreek Coffee Company. It has now become my “go to” place for coffee meetings with clients and friends.
The Firecreek Coffee Company is tucked into the rear of a small shopping center and has a small interior seating area. Additionally, there are some tables in the courtyard in the front which seems to be the favorite place for patrons to sit and enjoy Firecreek’s offerings.
While I am not a coffee connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination, I have enjoyed all of the various coffees I have tried. Per the website, all of their coffee is hand-roasted in small batches and beans are purchased in very small amounts from sustainable, organic providers. All of their teas and dairy products are organic as well.
They also have a selection of food items available for breakfast and lunch. While I have not yet had the opportunity to try any of them, I have heard everything is delicious.
However, what I like most about Firecreek Coffee Company are the folks who work there. They are always friendly and professional and they seem to really enjoy what they do. I always leave on a positive note. Service can make or break a business, and based on my experiences, Firecreek Coffee Company has the service part down.
The next time you are out and about in Cave Creek, take a break and stop by Firecreek for a drink or snack.
