Troon Village is a collection of communities centered around Troon Mountain and the Troon Country Club in North Scottsdale, Arizona. Housing options range from townhomes to custom homes on acre plus lots. Many of the communities, particularly the more established ones, are guard-gated or gated. Some of the more well-known neighborhoods are Windy Walk Estates, Troon Fairways and Glenn Moor. All of these communities wrap around the Troon Country Club golf course.
One of the major attractions of living in Troon is being surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Scottsdale desert. Since the terrain Troon occupies is hilly, many of the homes have spectacular mountain views or twinkling city light views at night. Just across Alma School Road from Troon is the world-famous Pinnacle Peak, a striking landmark and a favorite of many hikers. Even though you may feel that you are “getting away from it all” at Troon, world-class dining and shopping and entertainment are just minutes away.
At the heart of Troon Village, is the private Troon Country Club. Troon Country Club is home to a 50,000 square foot clubhouse, which opened in 1986 and was updated in 2003. There are plenty of dining options at the Troon Country Club clubhouse ranging from a casual meal or snack to a more formal dinner. In addition to dining, the clubhouse features a fitness center, pool, tennis courts and a sport court. If you are looking for social activities, there is a full social calendar including theater excursions, special speakers, bridge club and more. Troon Country Club’s golf course is a favorite of many and was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish. It never fails to delight golfers from the beginner to the experienced. You do not have to live in Troon Village in order to become a member of Troon Country Club.
Troon Village is a wonderful place to live year-round or to visit during the winter months.
