– Scottsdale Events for June 2015 –
Even though the temperatures are higher, things are still in full swing for events in Scottsdale and the surrounding areas.
- Green Building in Scottsdale – This lecture series, brought to you by the City of Scottsdale, will again take place June 2nd. Topics include healthy living, green building initiatives and resource conservation. The lecture is free for attendees.
- Phantom of the Opera – Running from May 27th through June 7th, this wildly popular show will come to life on the ASU Gammage stage.
- Are you a fan of Dancing with the Stars or like to watch live dance performances? – The Move Live on Tour is coming to the Valley on June 12th at the Comerica Theater. Derek and Julianne Hough and many other talented dancers will present several highly entertaining performances.
- Prescott’s Antiques on the Square – On June 7th, head up to Prescott to peruse the antiques and other offerings of over 60 vendors in Downtown Prescott. Then stroll to one of the nearby restaurants for a great meal. Proceeds from this event will benefit historical renovation projects in Prescott.
- Prowl & Play at the Phoenix Zoo – From 5:30PM to 8:30PM on June 13th, visit the Phoenix Zoo for the Prowl & Play family event. Participate in many ice themed activities and dance to the live music.
- Art Garfunkel at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts – On June 18th, Art Garfunkel will be performing live for one night only.
- Live Concerts at the Musical Instrument Museum – Throughout the month of June, the MIM will host a variety of live music performances representing a wide variety of sounds and styles.
- Desert Botanical Garden Flashlight Tours – Every Thursday and Saturday from 7PM to 9PM, participants will have the opportunity to tour the Desert Botanical Garden at night. In addition to seeing nocturnal creatures and flowers, there are several ‘discovery’ learning stations throughout. This is a great event for adults and children alike and the tour is included in the price of admission.
