– 2014 Holiday Celebrations at Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland Commons –
The Kierland area, with its excellent shopping, dining and entertainment options is a very popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Now, with the holidays underway, they have pulled together some fun events for all ages.
Kierland Commons 2014 Holiday Events
- Get your list ready, because Santa is at Kierland! Starting on December 12th, Santa will be holding court in Kierland’s Center Plaza from noon to 8PM daily and 10AM to 6PM on Christmas Eve.
- Miracle on Main Street – Each Saturday head on over to Main Street and participate in the holiday celebrations and hear some live music. Santa will be there, but so will Mrs. Claus who will be telling stories each half hour. Snow in Scottsdale? Snow will be falling a few times each evening. And, you will have the opportunity to take a horse-drawn carriage ride or enjoy some S’mores while supporting some great local charities.
Scottsdale Quarter 2014 Holiday Events
- On Saturday, December 13th, there will be a special Holiday Tree Auction that supports Phoenix Children’s Hospital. At 10AM you can come take a look at the trees and the auction itself will take place at 1:30PM. The trees will feature keepsake ornaments, discounts, gift cards and more. Plus, there will be live performances and more.
Westin Kierland 2014 Holiday Events
The Westin Kierland, just across the street from Kierland Commons also has some fun holiday offerings.
- Watch the hotel transform into a colorful background for computer-generated, animated PaintScapes set to holiday music. The shows run nightly at 6:30, 7:00. :7:30 and 8:00 through December 31st. This event is free and open to the public.
- Have kids or grandkids over the age of three? Come participate in the Holiday Family FunFest. Some of the activities include train rides, face painting, arts and crafts, games, live entertainment and more. And, you can even visit with Santa. The Family FunFest takes place on Fridays and Saturdays from 5-8PM through December 20th. It costs $10 per person, and another $5 per person if you want to join in on the all-you-can-eat S’mores center.
