– Scottsdale Events – January 2025 –
I am a little late on getting this one out, but there are plenty of fun things to do coming up this month. Welcome to 2025!
Here are some hand-picked ideas for things going on this January in and around Scottsdale:
- ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo – Ends January 12th – This is the last week to enjoy the Phoenix Zoo’s Zoolights. Be dazzled by millions of lights and creative displays all around the zoo.
- Arizona Fine Art Expo – January 10th – March 31st – This award-winning art show is back for the 2025 season. Located in Scottsdale, you can watch talented artists create as you stroll around. Season passes are available so you can return as often as you wish. An onsite cafe serves drinks, snacks and food.
- Maricopa County Home Shows – January 10th – 12th – Over 1,000 home-related vendors will be on hand for this home show at the Arizona State Fairgrounds. Besides meeting the vendors, there are many planned workshops and seminars to attend. A large food court will be onsite to keep you fueled up.
- Arizona Wedding Show – January 11th – 12th – Getting married? Come to this all-things-wedding event to meet with vendors, get ideas, sample sweet and savory treats and take in the fashion shows highlighting the newest trends.
- Carefree Art & Wine Festival – January 17th – 19th – The 32nd annual Art & Wine Festival will return to downtown Carefree. Over 155 juried artists will display their incredible art including watercolors, sculptures, photography and more. And if you would like some wine as you stroll, a tasting ticket and glass can be purchased onsite.
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon – January 18th- 19th – It is back! The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon will take place the weekend of the 18th and participants will get to enjoy live music all along the course. The 5K will take place on Saturday and Sunday will feature the 10K and Half Marathon. This is a super fun high-energy event.
- Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction – January 18th – 26th – One of the most exciting annual events returns at the end of the month – Barrett Jackson! This world-class auction will feature some of the most exclusive collector cars in existence. This is another not-to-miss event! The kickoff concert on the 17th will be headlined by Sammy Hagar and friends.
- Celebration of Fine Art – January 18th – March 30th – Along with the Arizona Fine Art Expo, the Celebration of Fine Art features one hundred highly talented artists creating and selling their works.
- Arizona Concours d’Elegance – January 19th – The Concours d’Elegance collector car exhibition returns to the Scottsdale Civic Center on the 19th and stunning cars will be on display in hopes of winning the top prize.
- MLK Little League Tune-Up Clinic – January 20th – Read to get ready for Little League season? This three-hour clinic for players aged 5-12 is the answer! They will get to practice on Salt River Fields baseball facilities while being coached by former MLB/Minor League coaches and players!
- Scottsdale Western Week – January 25th – February 2nd – This annual event is definitely one to attend. It is packed with tons of activities that range from a Golden Palette ArtWalk to a Native Art Market to car show, live performances and more. The Hashknife Pony Express will ride into town on the 31st with over 20,000 pieces of mail to be delivered. And not to be outdone, the Parada del Sol parade and the Arizona Indian Festival will also take place. Add to all of this live music performances, food trucks and so much more makes it a great way to celebrate Scottsdale’s Western heritage.
- A Taste of AZ Food & Drink Festival – January 25th – Are you ready for an afternoon of delicious food and tasty drinks? Then look no further. Head to Salt River Fields to sample food and drink from popular local restaurants and purveyors. It is likely to sell out, so be sure to buy your tickets in advance. (21+)
