It is officially Fall, even though we are still seeing temperatures in the 90s! However, this time of year is when we see more and more events happening.
October is the month for Halloweeen and Fall Festival events. Here is a list of some of the things going on: Halloween Celebrations and Fall Festivals in Scottsdale and Greater Phoenix.
Here are some of the non-Halloween and Fall Festival events coming up this month:
- Immersive King Tut – Ongoing – Learn all about King Tut’s life and journey to the afterlife in this immersive experience at the Lighthouse ArtSpace.
- Arizona State Fair – Through October 30th – The state fair is back for 2022. Explore the rides, indulge in some fair food, watch the various concerts and performers plus much more! Here is the fair calendar.
- Concerts at Scottsdale Quarter – Saturday Evenings – Each Saturday evening from 5 – 7PM, there will be live music in The Quad. Each week will feature a different band and musical genre.
- Dinosaurs in the Desert- Through April 30, 2023 – The dinosaurs are back! These huge beasts will be located all over the zoo grounds. Take the self-guided tour to see them all.
- Railfair at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park – October 1st – 2nd – Railfair is back. Experience all things railroad including extensive models, hop on a train ride or explore the railroad museum. Fun for all ages!
- Full Moon Tour at Southwest Wildlife – October 8th – Explore Southwest Wildlife’s sanctuary at night and learn about what desert animals do at night. Advanced reservations are required.
- Sacred Spaces at Taliesen West – October 14th – January 29, 2023 – Visitors to Taliesen West will get to explore this collection of thirty large-scale images of some of Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpieces.
- Maricopa County Home Show – October 14th – 16th – WestWorld will be hosting the Home Show and one of the main attractions will be the “Tiny Home Street of Dreams” where tiny homes will be showcased. Plus there will be seminars and demonstrations taking place all weekend. Discount tickets are available on the website.
- I Recycle Phoenix Collection Day at Desert Ridge – October 15th- Have hard to recycle items laying around? Head over to Desert Ridge on the 15th to unload them. They are also looking for donations of clothing, food, bicycles, books, office supplies and more. Visit the link for more information and for a list of what they are accepting that day.
- Desert Botanical Garden – Multiple Events – Ongoing – It is a busy month at the Desert Botanical Garden! There will be live music, butterflies, dog days, cultural events, a plant sale and more! Click the link to see all of the events.
