We recently had the opportunity to visit Francine for the first time and it was excellent.
Francine opened at Scottsdale Fashion Square in the newer restaurant section where you can find Nobu, Toca Madera, Tocaya and more.
Francine serves a French Mediterranean menu that features French classics like Moules Frites and Steak Frites as well as Mediterranean items like warm olives and Mezza. The main focus is on using fresh, seasonal offerings.
Before I get to our dining experience, just walking into Francine is an experience in itself. Its design is lovely, soothing and elegant. There are lots of neutral colors with pops of gold. Our table was near the fireplace in the back which added to the ambiance.
We started with the Crispy Calamari which came with zucchini and bright lemon aioli. The dish was delicious and a perfect way to start the meal.
For the entrees, we went with duck, filet mignon and salmon. The generously-portioned duck breast was served with parsnip and broccolini with cumquats to give it a little sweetness. The filet was traditionally prepared and came with olive oil mashed potatoes and green beans. The salmon was accompanied by sweet potato and endive. All of our meals were well-prepared and tasty!

In addition to excellent food, they have a very deep wine list and a creative cocktail list.
On the service side, service was friendly, professional and attentive and we were taken care of by several staff members who made us feel welcomed.
Overall, we enjoyed our evening at Francine. We plan to go back to try out their brunch offerings soon!
