– Scottsdale Events May 2022 –
As we head out of the high season, the Valley scene is still packed with lots of events. Here are some ones we selected that might be of interest.
- 🏞️ Go Tubing on the Salt River – Starts April 30th – Ready for a true Arizona experience? Float your way down the Salt River for a day of fun. Open daily depending on weather conditions and water levels.
- 🎤 Free Concerts at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park – May 1st -29th – The Sunday night concerts at the Railroad Park kick off this month. Featured genres include disco, funk, 1940’s music and more.
- 🏠 Maricopa County Home Show – May 6th – 8th – The Home Show is back at WestWorld and will be packed with home ideas, seminars, hands-on projects, food and so much more!
- 🏇 Kentucky Derby Viewing Party at the Scottsdale Princess – May 7th – It is back! Grab your hats and fancy attire and head over to the Scottsdale Princess. Bourbon Steak is hosting a lawn party for the annual Run for the Roses. There will be live music, tasty food, games and of course, mint juleps! An alternative event is from The Polo Party team. The Derby Day Club will be held at Turf Paradise with many different ticket and experience options.
- 🧵 Mama’s Makers Market – May 7th – This market by Local Trade will showcase over 100 talented, local artisans. Shop for “mama” or yourself. Offerings will include art, jewelry, personal care items, jewelry, decor and more! Plus, there will be food and music.
- 🎤David Sedaris at the Orpheum – May 9th – The award-winning humor author will be sharing his thoughts and observations as well as interacting with the audience.
- 🌵 Round- The Phoenix Ballet at the Desert Botanical Garden – May 17th – June 2nd – Ballet Arizona will be performing intricate and enchanting choreography with the desert in the background
- 🦁 Roars and Pours at the Phoenix Zoo – May 19th – Celebrate Happy Hour at the zoo? Why not? There will be food and drink, games, shows and more at this 21 and up event.
- 🍳 Arizona Restaurant Week – May 20th – 29th – This year, there are 109 local restaurants participating in Arizona Restaurant Week this year. Each location will offer a three-course prix fixe menu that costs $33, $44 or $55 and there are options from very casual dining all the way up to fine dining.
- 🎵 Pitbull at the Talking Stick Resort – May 27th – Come see musical superstar Pitbull perform at the end of the month. This is sure to be a high-energy show!
- 🖼️ Wonderspaces – Ongoing – This gem of an interactive and immersive art experience is located at Scottsdale Fashion Square. They have fifteen exhibits that rotate frequently, so you can often explore something new during each visit. The exhibits can run from thought-provoking to whimsical.
