– Things to Do in and Around Scottsdale in October –
October kicks off the Fall season and with that comes plenty of Fall and Halloween events. See our newly updated 🎃 2020 Fall and Halloween Guide to Events. 🍂
But those are not the only things going on. There are plenty of other great events on tap for this month:
- Carefree Restaurant Week – October 1st – 11th – Carefree’s Fall Restaurant Week kicks off today. Support your local restaurants and enjoy the lunch and dinner specials they are offering.
- Tour De Scottsdale – October 12th – 18th – This popular bike race is going virtual this year. Pick a time for your ride and off you go. You can opt for a 5-mile family ride, a 15-mile ride, a 30-mile ride or the 70-mile ride.
- Maricopa Home Show – October 16th – 18th – The Home Show is back and is coming to WestWorld. Tour a large variety of vendors and participate in some of the sessions like season sign painting, making candles and much more.
- Diamondbacks Virtual Race Against Cancer – October 17th and 18th – Pick a day and time and a route and participate in this virtual 5K that raises money for cancer. This is a great way to give back and get some exercise in all at once!
- Barrett Jackson Fall Auction– October 22nd – 24th – The Barrett Jackson Auction will be back in Scottsdale at WestWorld. See amazing rare and collectible cars as they are auctioned off.
- Desert Ridge’s Live Music and Art – Ongoing – Desert Ridge is bringing back socially-distanced live music performances throughout September. As You Wish is offering lots of Halloween themed projects as well. See the website for a full list of events.
- Walk With Wildlife Tour – Through October 31st– The Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center offers tours throughout their facility. Get up close and personal with desert animals. They are also offering twilight and full moon tours.
- Wild Rising at the Desert Botanical Garden – Through November 8th – Discover over 1,000 colorful plastic sculptures placed throughout the Desert Botanical Garden.
- Wonderspaces Arizona – This hard-to-define, fascinating collection of art is open again with new exhibits and social distancing protocols.
- Enjoy the Outdoors in Arizona – AZ Central pulled together a bucket list of things to do around our wonderful state. Think hikes, scenic drives, fishing holes and more.
