– The Bourbon Cellar in Scottsdale –
There is a new restaurant in North Scottsdale that is worth a visit. Located in the Safeway shopping center at Scottsdale Road and Pinnacle Peak, The Bourbon Cellar opened recently.
The Chef/Owner strives to buy as many ingredients locally as possible and personally hand-trims all of the premium meats.
We had the opportunity to stop by for lunch and are looking forward to visiting for dinner soon.
You enter into the bar area where there are high tables to dine at. Around the corner is a more formal dining room as well as patio seating.
For lunch, you can go a little more casual with a burger, sandwich or salad. But you also are able to order some of the dinner items as well.
We ended up going the more casual route. The Chicken Sandwich was a 10 ounce serving on an apple cider bun. For the side, we tried the hand-cut zucchini fries. Both of them tasted great and hit the spot.
We also ordered the Vegetarian Burger which also was a generous size and came on the apple cider bun. Burgers come with lettuce and tomato and if you want to customize it further, there is a list of add-ons you can purchase. For the side on this one, we opted for the hand-cut sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were enormous, allowing you to really taste the sweet potato.
One fun twist is that both of our sandwiches came with a deviled egg on top. It was tasty and appreciated!
If you are interested in dinner, there are plenty of things to choose from. Offerings include USDA Prime beef steaks, wild game, seafood, a tomahawk pork chop and a marinated chicken breast. There is an extensive list of appetizers as well as soup and salad options.
And, I would be remiss if I did not talk about the bourbon part of The Bourbon Cellar. The Bourbon Cellar has the largest collection of bourbon in the valley. Many of the options are showcased above the bar.
Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and look forward to returning.
