Scottsdale Events Early April 2017
It’s that time of year again… With the high season comes plenty of events all over Scottsdale and the surrounding cities. Here are a few things going on during the first part of April.
- Dogfest Walk and Roll – April 1st – This pup-friendly event benefits Canine Companions for Independence. There will be demonstrations, kids activities, games, a raffle and more.
- Final Four NCAA Basketball – Through April 3rd – Besides some incredible basketball, there will be events going on all weekend, including a Fan Fest, music festival, tailgate and more.
- Moonlit Drive-In Movies – April 1st and Saturdays in April – The Scottsdale Promenade is hosting these family-friendly drive-in events. They are free to attend and the movies start at 7:30. Come early for snacks, balloon animals and more. The movies include Moana, The BFG, Finding Dory, The Secret Life of Pets and Sing.
- Dinner with Wolves at the Scottsdale Wildlife Conservation Center – April 2nd – Enjoy dinner and drinks and an auction as you support the wildlife conservation efforts of SWCC and Defenders of Wildlife. Plus, you will get a guided tour of the facility and see its residents, including the gray wolves.
- Phoenix Film Festival – April 6th – 13th – The Harkins 101 will once again host the Phoenix Film Festival. Over 175 movies will be shown over the course of the festival.
- Run the Runway at the Scottsdale Airport – April 8th – The annual Run the Runway event is back for the fifth time. This year, they are adding a 15K to the 5K and 10K races of previous years. Plus, there is a one-mile mascot dash for the kids. Once you are done, there will be a fun post-race festival. This event benefits Playworks.
- Phoenix Home and Garden Garden Tour – April 8th – Tour exclusive gardens at your own pace while interacting with landscape design professionals and members of the Phoenix Home & Garden team.
- Scottsdale Culinary Festival – April 8th – 9th – The Scottsdale Civic Center Mall will host this fun event all weekend. There will be food tastings, beer and wine gardens, live entertainment, a family zone, cooking competitions and more.
- AZ Wine and Dine – April 13th – This event at the Scottsdale Quarter is put on by the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association and will feature foods from many of the top resort restaurants around the Valley. Live music and libations will round out this event.
