– More Scottsdale Events for February 2017 –
This is a fun and busy time in and around Scottsdale, so I thought I would pull together another list of things to do during the month of February.
- Madama Butterfly by the Arizona Opera – February 3rd – 5th – This well-known story will be performed by the Arizona Opera for a very limited run.
- Romeo and Juliet from Ballet Arizona – February 9th – 12th – Another well-known story is coming to the stage in Phoenix in the form of a ballet. There are pre-performance and post-performance chats being held on February 9th – 11th.
- Chinese Culture and Cuisine Festival – February 10th – 12th – Celebrate the Year of the Rooster at this three-day festival in Downtown Phoenix. There will be food, performances, demonstrations, rides, art and so much more.
- Pony Express Hashknife Riders – February 10th – This annual trek with lots of history has riders riding 200 miles from Holbrook to Downtown Scottsdale delivering 20,000 letters along the way. The riders and their horses plan to arrive at High Noon at the Scottsdale Museum of the West.
- World Championship Hoop Dance Contest at the Heard Museum – February 11th & 12th – Over 80 Native American dancers from the United States and Canada will be at the Heard Museum to vie for Hoop Dancing Honors. Come see this thrilling event.
- Herbs in Containers Class at the Desert Botanical Garden – February 12th – This afternoon class will help you learn how to plant and grow herbs in smaller containers. The DBG also offers tons of other classes, such as succulents, vegetables and landscaping. It is worth checking out the catalog of courses in the link above.
- Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show – February 16th – 26th -This amazing annual event featuring over 2,000 horses is back at Westworld. Enjoy over a week of events, performances and competitions as well as shopping. Kids under 12 get in free.
- Landscaping Tops for the DIY Gardener – February 18th -This informative session will give you ideas on how to make impactful, colorful plant choices. Tom Gatz will be teaching this session in Downtown Carefree.
- Cactus League Spring Training – Starts February 22nd – Spring Training is back! Watch 15 different teams as they get ready for the new season. If you are a baseball fan, this is a must-do event.
- Canal Convergence – February 23rd – 26th – Scottsdale Public Art’s Canal Convergence will take place on the Scottsdale Waterfront. Art installations and workshops, entertainment and activities will be going on over the four days.
