Whether you prefer to stay in or go out, there are plenty of options for you this New Years Eve in Scottsdale and beyond.
For those of you who like to head out for a fun evening on the town:
- Looking for some live music to dance the night away? AZ Central has compiled a long list of live music events and parties. There is everything from soul, rock and roll, 80’s tributes, electronic dance music (EDM), piano and more. Here is the Live Music Guide for New Year’s Eve.
- There is no shortage of New Year’s parties and events going on in Old Town Scottsdale and various hotels. Here are two extensive lists of things going on:
For those of you with children looking for something a little earlier:
There are some great events all over the Valley catered to the younger crowd. AZ Central has put together a great list for Children’s New Year’s Eve parties.
Some highlights include events at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, the Phoenician, a sleepover at the AZ Airtime trampoline park, events at the Phoenix Zoo and more.
For those of you who want to stay home and watch it on TV:
The fun thing about living in Arizona is that you can watch the East Coast, particularly New York City, ring in the New Year a couple of hours early.
Here are a few New Year’s Eve programs that are planned:
- Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest – This is long-time show is back again with over five hours of programming. Mariah Carey is expected to perform and other celebrities will be checking in from other locations.
- NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly – This show will run from 11:30PM to 12:30AM EST and will also feature celebrity appearances.
- CNN’s New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin – Anderson and Kathy will be back in Times Square counting down the final moments of 2016. Programming kicks off at 8PM EST.
