– A Day and Night in Old Town Scottsdale –
Old Town Scottsdale is a place that you can never fully understand until you come and experience it for yourself. Plus, with new restaurants, stores and other venues opening all of the time, you will be hard pressed to get bored.
Let’s start at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, right in the heart of Old Town. Scottsdale Fashion Square is Scottsdale’s largest mall and features over 250 stores. Spend some time shopping at your favorite luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Fendi. Oh, and let’s not forget about Neiman Marcus, Barney’s New York, and Nordstrom.
Now, let’s head to lunch. The challenge is deciding which of the dozens of restaurants to choose from. What are you in the mood for? A bruschetta? I know the perfect place… Olive and Ivy is an amazing eatery in Old Town Scottsdale. Not only is is s full-service restaurant with a great patio overlooking the Scottsdale Waterfront, but I love the market inside the restaurant. They offer in-house ice cream and wines that you can purchase. By the way – my personal favorite of Olive and Ivy’s bruschettas is the mozzarella, basil and tomato jelly.
After a light lunch, let’s head back to our suite at The W Scottsdale. The W Scottsdale is located right in mix of all of the finest restaurants, best shopping, and hottest nightlife and fits the bill for people visiting Scottsdale or locals looking for a ‘staycation.’
Speaking of nightlife, I think it’s time to relax for a bit because we’re going out tonight. Put on your favorite outfit that you picked up from the mall earlier today and then head on down to the lounge at the W for a cocktail before dinner. Enjoy the live music and socialize then enjoy a beautiful sushi dinner at Sushi Roku. (I recommend the yellowtail sashimi). Two bowls of edamame, five rolls of sushi, and a plate of yellowtail sashimi later, we’re ready for a night out.
Let’s start the night at one of the newest clubs in Old Town, Dakota. After Dakota, we’ll make our way over to Maya Day and Night Club to have some Moscow Mules by the pool, (yes, there is a huge outdoor pool inside the club!) And then we’ll finish up dancing the night away at Hi-Fi.
Don’t take my word for it, come out and experience Old Town Scottsdale for yourself, if you haven’t already! And if you have any favorite Old Town places you would like to add to the list, please feel free to do so in the comment section.
