– Tanzy at Scottsdale Quarter –
I was looking to try somewhere new for lunch last week and we decided to give Tanzy a try. If you are not familiar with it, Tanzy is located upstairs and is adjacent to and connected to the iPic theater at Scottsdale Quarter.
The space itself is open and contemporary. There is a lounge area with couches and seating up front with large glass panels that can be opened when the weather is cooler. There is a central bar and behind that is the more traditional restaurant seating.
We were there for a late lunch, so things were a bit quiet. Our server was friendly and took good care of us, such as bringing refills of our iced tea automatically when we got low on our current ones.
We started with the Mozzarella Caprese which was a generous portion of mozzarella with a variety of cut small tomatoes and microgreens. We both really enjoyed the olive oil that they had drizzled the caprese with.
For my entrée, I selected the Seafood Cobb salad, which came with a generous amount of lump crab meat and some grilled shrimp. In addition to the seafood, there was also avocado, blue cheese and a hard-boiled egg.
My dining partner opted for one of the options on the Lunch Club menu, which has a variety of choices for $12 and include a salad or french fries. The Chopped Chicken Salad Sandwich tasted as good as it looked. The chicken salad was mixed with grapes, walnuts, apples and celery and came on a fluffy croissant. We decided we could not pass up the Parmesan French Fries as the side and were happy we picked them. They were perfectly cooked, crispy with just the right amount of salt and parmesan.
Overall, we enjoyed our lunch at Tanzy and look forward to returning.
