Just north of Scottsdale and tucked away in the post office and AZ Wine building on Carefree’s Easy Street is a local gem of a place called My Sweet Blessings Bakery.
My Sweet Blessings has been in operation for just over three years and it has developed a loyal following. One of the top reasons people visit is the large selection of pastries and treats made from scratch. Every time we have visited, we end up walking away with a bakery box full of goodies.
In addition to the handmade baked goods, My Sweet Blessings also offers up a solid variety of items for breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast items from the summer menu included a couple of versions of breakfast burritos, a daily quiche, a bagel sandwich with egg and bacon, a honey ham and egg croissant sandwich and a cheddar biscuit sandwich with egg and sausage gravy. And, as the name implies, there is also a great selection of breakfast pastries.
The lunch menu is comprised of sandwich and salad offerings. On the sandwich side, our favorite is the Turkey and Brie Sandwich. It is enhanced with cranberry chutney and dijonaise and comes on ciabatta bread. Other choices include an Italian Hoagie, a play on a BLT Club and Chicken or Tuna Salad.
My Sweet Blessings Bakery also takes custom orders for pies, cakes and quiches. All they need is a 24 hour or more notice, and you will be all set.
If you want to dine-in, there are tables and chairs in the breezeway just outside of the store or you can always get your order to go. Whatever you do, don’t forget to order something from the bakery case!
