DESERT HIGHLANDS 2014 HOME SALES – THROUGH 3rd QUARTER 2014
Home sales in Desert Highlands really took off in Q2, which corresponds with the end of Scottsdale’s high season. Almost 74% of the year’s sales took place between April and June.
Over the course of the year, the average price per square foot increased from $277.18 in Q1 to $306.44 at the end of Q3. And, on average, home buyers have been seeing a discount of 6% off of asking prices.
The highest priced home sale in 2014 was for $2,820,000. This home had four bedrooms, six bathrooms and 7,674 square feet and was on almost an acre with incredible Pinnacle Peak views. It had been listed for $2,995,000 and sold for cash.
The lowest priced home sale of the year to-date was a three bedroom, three bathroom, 3,148 square foot home built in 1994. It had been on the market for just under $600,000 and ended up selling for $557,500 in a cash transaction.
