I recently had the opportunity to stop by Avery Lane in the Kierland area. It occupies a large storefront on the Greenway Hayden Loop. It is a big store and although there are many things for sale there, they have done a great job with the layout as you do not feel overwhelmed or crowded.
There is a good blend of styles represented from traditional, to southwestern, to contemporary. In addition to the large selection of home furnishings, they have a lot of great home accessories, art, decor and design books. They source many of their items from elegant Scottsdale and Paradise Valley estates.
Some of the items in stock that day included lovely European antique dressers and wood pieces. There was a large contemporary desk I was admiring as well as a mirrored dresser. In one area, they had a child’s work area that resembled industrial lockers. It was a unique and would be a great workspace for a young person.
Avery Lane is a place you will want to peruse frequently as they like to turn the inventory over quickly to keep things fresh.
One event that they do a few times a year that sounds like fun is called “Consign Star” where they invite two local designers to re-decorate and accessorize a given space in the store with only items for sale within the store. They have one hour to work their magic and during that time, Avery Lane customers can ask them questions. I will definitely try and attend one of these coming up as I would love to see the spaces come together.
